The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office arrested 10 people in connection with a loud house party allegedly featuring drugs, alcohol and guns.
About 1 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a noise complaint regarding a party at 189th and Briar Streets in an unincorporated area of western Sarpy County. The house, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, had been used as an Airbnb.
Deputies found a crowd of about 125 people, mostly between 18 to 25 years old, outside the residence. Deputies found about 50 more people inside.
A man allegedly ran from the party when deputies arrived but was arrested after a deputy chased him. As the man was being arrested, a large crowd surrounded deputies, leading deputies to request additional law enforcement assistance, which included SWAT and crisis negotiators before things were brought under control, authorities said.

Law enforcement seized four handguns from people at the scene. They found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, empty alcohol bottles and another handgun inside the house.
The Sheriff’s Office said many of those arrested had known gang affiliations. None of those arrested lived in Sarpy County.
Counts against the individuals include outstanding warrants issued for drug and weapons charges. One person was arrested on suspicion of obstruction and resisting arrest.
The home’s short-term renter was taken into custody on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of minors.
An Airbnb spokeswoman said the property has been deactivated from the platform while the investigation continues. She added Airbnb has banned guests from hosting parties since August 2020.
“Airbnb bans disruptive and unauthorized parties, and the reported behavior has no place on our platform,” the spokeswoman said.
