Abu Dhabi-based startup Precious Payload aims to simplify cargo-carrying space missions through its “Booking.com for rocket launches” platform. The system streamlines the process for businesses by gathering necessary data from space agencies and using its own regulations for compliance. It enables customers to book launches from around the world and has already received orders from 30 clients in 12 countries. The company aims to reduce mission time-to-launch to one year and $1m. Wendy Whitman Cobb, a space policy expert and professor, said Precious Payload’s initiative could help small businesses and researchers unfamiliar with space logistics, and praised its combination of all the elements of a space mission into one platform.
