Italy has topped the international holiday list for UK travellers this summer, while the Isle of Wight ranks as the top destination for domestic trips, according to Tripadvisor’s Summer Travel Index. The report also found that domestic travellers are spending less than international tourists due to the cost of living crisis. The top international trending location is Badesi, on Sardinia’s northern coast, with Japan still a favourite for UK travellers, securing three spots in the fastest growing international destinations, followed by Spain. The report also found that 43% of Brits plan to travel more this summer than last and 79% are planning up to two holidays.
