While the website of the President’s office was restored, the websites of the country’s Foreign Ministry and the Tourism Ministry were unreachable at the time this story was published.
The websites of the two ministries showed error messages.
According to local media reports, the websites went down and were unreachable in a suspected cyberattack.
Taking to X, the Maldive President’s office said, “Please note that the President’s Office website is currently facing an unexpected technical disruption. NCIT and other relevant entities are actively working on resolving this promptly. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding and patience.”
