The Uttarakhand Cabinet has approved an amendment to the state’s 2018 tourism policy, specifying the period during which different categories of industries will receive SGST (State Goods and Services Tax) compensations.
According to the amendment, A, B, and B+ category industries in Uttarakhand will receive 100% SGST compensation for the first five years, followed by 90%, 75%, and 75% respectively for the next five years. Similarly, large, mega, and ultra-mega projects will get SGST compensation of 30%, 50%, and 50% respectively for 10 years.
