The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) Hanoi 2023 has opened with the intention of introducing visitors to travel products that explore the cultural diversity of Vietnam and other countries. The event features over 450 booths run by exhibitors, tour operators, and accommodation providers from Vietnamese cities and provinces. Representatives from 15 countries and territories, including South Korea, Nepal, Japan, and Thailand, are also present. The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) has been one of the most popular booths so far, providing visitors with an opportunity to try on traditional Korean hanboks and take South Korean-style photos. KTO’s chief representative in Vietnam, Lee Jae Hoon, said that South Korea wants to encourage more tourists to visit during the winter, and is promoting destinations like Busan and Kangwon to Vietnamese visitors. VITM Hanoi 2023 will offer over 10,000 discounted tours and travel products throughout its four-day duration.
