Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, South Korea has been revamped and is now a premium walking trail for citizens to enjoy. The square, which used to be the widest road in the country, has been transformed into a symbol of the city’s ecological future and rich history. The walking tour includes stops at the Remains of the Saheonbu Gate, Statue of King Sejong, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Haechi Lounge, Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and the Forest of Gwanghwamun Square. Participants can explore the Joseon Dynasty government offices that were once located in the square, as well as historical and cultural waterscape facilities. The trail begins at Gyeongbokgung Station, Exit 6.
