Virgin Atlantic has entered into a codeshare agreement with Korean Air to extend its offering to customers flying to South Korea and beyond. The deal means Virgin Atlantic customers can travel directly to Incheon Airport, and from June, can connect to destinations throughout Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. The deal is seen as a precursor to Virgin Atlantic’s entry into Seoul. With the airline’s recent enrolment into the SkyTeam alliance, customers can earn and redeem Virgin Points and SkyPriority benefits, while Korean Air’s founder member status within SkyTeam brings additional benefits to passengers.
