Korea is experiencing a successful return to international conferences and events, evidenced by its high-profile bids for the 2025 Osteoarthritis Research Society International World Congress, the 2023 USANA Asia Pacific Convention, and the 2026 Intelligent Transport System World Congress. The country’s support for organizers and its strong MICE industry, due in part to its advanced technology and networks in various fields, make it an attractive destination for those hosting meetings and conventions. In addition, Korea is investing in new strategies for sustainable MICE development, including certification and venue developments in Busan. The country is also relaxing qualifying requirements for convention support, expanding its digital transformation project for regional convention bureaus, and offering new official manuals to enhance the safety of MICE events. Furthermore, Korea is expanding its range of unique venues, making the country an even more appealing destination for international conferences and events.
