The upcoming spring in South Korea is bringing along a host of festivals and events that showcase the country’s beauty, culture and traditions. The World Tulip Flower Festival in Taean, South Chungcheong Province will be held from April 12 to May 7 at Korea Flower Park, where visitors can enjoy about 200 types of flowers, including tulips. The Cheongnamdae Spring Flower Festival, which will be held from April 16 to May 8 at Cheongnamdae in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, is another attraction that displays various sculptures, art paintings and wild flowers. Managed by the Jindo-gun Festival Committee, the Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival will take place from April 20 to 22 in areas around the Jindo Ocean Ecology Building and Gagye Beach in Jindo, South Jeolla Province, where the main attraction will be a 2.8-km-long path connecting two islands that only appears for approximately one hour at extreme low tide. The Busan Lotus Lantern Festival, taking place at Songsanghyeon Plaza and Busan Citizen’s Park from April 28 to May 14, provides visitors with a chance to experience Buddhist culture through various activities and hands-on experiences. Lastly, the Pinnacle Land Spring Flowers Festival will take place in Pinnacle Land, a botanical garden in Asan, South Chungcheong Province from March 24 to May 30, offering about 50,000 tulips and narcissus plants for visitors to enjoy along with various shows, such as fireworks and music performances.
