The Seoul Tourism Organization (STO) has launched the “Seoul 7 Peaks Challenge Program,” designed to encourage foreigners to hike all seven famous peaks in Seoul. Participants are required to choose and hike seven peaks from Seoul’s major mountains, verify their achievement by shooting a photo with a message towel and will be presented with souvenirs upon finishing the program. The program is expected to run until the end of July and will include rental gear provided by the STO’s Seoul Tourism Hiking Center, a guidebook on tourism hiking and a map before participants attend the kick-off ceremony. STO intends to open another hiking center near Mt. Bukak and Mt. Inwang this year as part of efforts to boost Seoul’s hiking tourism.
