A group of 14 representatives from South Korean travel agencies have visited Macau to explore the latest tourism offerings in the region. The four-day visit included tours of new attractions such as the technologically supported facility at the Ruins of Saint Paul’s and the Macau Grand Prix Museum. The representatives also met with 80 local hotel, travel agency and other service providers to discuss business opportunities. South Korea was the largest source of foreign tourists to Macau before the Covid pandemic, with 740,000 visitors recorded in 2019. Similar visits have been made by representatives from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand in recent months in an effort to boost tourism recovery.
