Qatar has ambitious cruise targets over the coming years, as Qatar Tourism’s Craig Upshall explains in the latest Cruise Corner interview.
In recent times, Qatar has emerged as a prominent cruise destination, not least due to the opening of the new Grand Cruise Terminal in Doha, which hosted the naming ceremony of MSC World Europa in November.
Of course, last year also saw the country host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, introducing the destination to a host of people for the first time.
Looking forward to the 2023/24 season, a wide variety of cruise lines will call into Qatar, including small luxury ships from operators such as Windstar Cruises and Oceania Cruises.
There’s also plenty for travel agents to get involved with to boost their understanding of the destination, as Craig Upshall highlights in the interview below.
