Co-marketing centered on SOL Travel debit cards Promoting links to travel-related industries in Singapore for three years “We will continue to provide differentiated customer experiences”
Shinhan Card will work with the Singapore Tourism Organization to promote joint marketing that provides differentiated benefits to customers traveling to Singapore.
Shinhan Card announced on the 22nd that it signed a business agreement on the 18th to promote joint marketing to Singapore travel customers at the Sebit Island Floating Island Convention, attended by Shinhan Card President Moon Dong-kwon and Singapore Tourism Commissioner Melissa Ow.
Through this business agreement, Shinhan Card will work with the Singapore Tourism Authority to promote joint marketing in conjunction with all travel-related industries such as aviation, lodging, shopping, and food services over the next three years.
The strategy is to build a travel total service that provides a wide range of benefits and useful information to customers visiting Singapore for travel or business by utilizing the customer base and partnership between the two organizations.
In particular, Shinhan Card plans to use its nation’s best big data capabilities to conduct customized marketing for customers who are likely to travel to Singapore or who have booked tickets, and to support revitalizing the tourism agency’s business by providing Korean-preferred merchants and local use trends to the Singapore Tourism Organization.
As the first example of joint marketing, Shinhan Card will launch a “Go Go SING” campaign in May, focusing on the “Shinhan Card SOL Travel Check,” which has been gaining huge popularity among customers with more than 500,000 copies issued within two months of its release.
Through the campaign, Shinhan Card’s SOL Travel Check customers will be provided with various benefits such as discounts on airline tickets and hotel accommodation fees, cash back local usage, and special overseas services using Shinhan Card’s network with major Singaporean partners such as Singapore Airlines and Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
It is also working with Klook, a global travel and activity reservation platform company, to prepare local specialized promotions, including up to 30% off tickets to major Singapore attractions.
Meanwhile, Shinhan Card has been strengthening its capabilities as a platform connecting Korea and Singapore through active collaboration with major business chains in Singapore.
In September 2023, Singapore Airlines launched its first foreign airline partnership card, “Singapore Airlines’ CRISFlier the Best Shinhan Card,” through a strategic alliance with Singapore Airlines, a global leading airline, and partnered with Marina Bay Sands, Singapore’s top-end landmark hotel.
“We look forward to providing a special experience to customers visiting Singapore through this collaboration, and we plan to actively discover other areas that can create synergy, such as supporting economic and cultural exchanges between Korea and Singapore,” said Moon Dong-kwon, president of Shinhan Card. “In the future, Shinhan Card will continue to expand its global partnership business so that customers can enjoy differentiated benefits and convenience not only at home but also abroad.”
