Ireland and Leinster star Hugo Keenan is set to make a return to the 7s team ahead of the Paris Olympics, according to a new report.
The 27-year-old is a former 7s star having made his debut for the side back in 2017 before going on to help them qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.
By that point, however, Keenan had burst onto the side as a XVs star and he has since become a stalwart in both the green and blue jersey.
The fullback’s final piece of XVs action, however, is set to come this Saturday with the Champions Cup final against Toulouse.
After that, The42 report that Keenan will report for 7s duty ahead of joining the squad for the forthcoming Olympics in July.
The decision means that the Six Nations winner will play no part in the tour to South Africa that same month nor Leinster’s playoffs run in the URC.
