Qatar Airways has announced the launch of flights to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and an increase in frequency to Luanda, Angola. Both services are effective June 1.
This expansion enhances travel options within Africa and provides a new entry point for international travel to China, Europe, and the Indian Subcontinent via Doha, Qatar. With Kinshasa, the airline now serves 29 destinations in Africa.
The frequency to Luanda will increase from one weekly flight to four, with a combined service to Kinshasa. This route will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, featuring 22 Business Class seats and 232 Economy Class seats.
Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, said the airline is committed to enhancing connectivity to Africa, and the inclusion of Kinshasa in their network is a significant step in achieving this goal.
