As part of SATSA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and well-being of tourists, the inbound industry association has introduced a new resource for tourism establishments and their staff: the Victim Support Checklist.
SATSA said the easy-to-follow checklist had been designed to empower tourism businesses to provide immediate, effective, and compassionate assistance to tourists in the unfortunate event of an incident.
“Whether tourism establishments or their staff are on the scene of an incident or tourists are reporting an incident, this checklist will serve as a comprehensive guide to ensure that victims receive needed support with the professionalism and care that defines our industry,” SATSA said in a newsletter.
