JAGGAER has partnered with Workato, the integration platform as a service (iPaaS) provider, in a bid to optimise autonomous commerce. The partnership will offer access to certified Workato connectors, which can integrate business software for a variety of vendors, including Oracle and NetSuite. Workato’s platform is built for businesses to manage internal workflows, automate tasks and generate insights.
Autonomous commerce is the natural progression of autonomous procurement, whereby businesses embed automation and intelligence into their workflows, with the aim of automating buying and selling processes with deep operational analytics. JAGGAER, a spend management software provider, is at the forefront of the pursuit for autonomous commerce, having developed its own AI procurement platform, JAGGAER ONE.
By coupling JAGGAER ONE with Workato’s iPaaS platform, JAGGAER hopes to further streamline its customers’ procurement processes, making it easier for businesses to integrate their existing software solutions into buying workflows. As a result, many of the tasks currently carried out manually can be automated, with businesses able to reap the benefits of fast procurement cycle times, increased efficiency, and lower procurement costs.
Workato, with its focus on providing dynamic, real-time workflows, is ideally positioned to help bring JAGGAER’s vision to fruition, particularly with regards to autonomous commerce. The two companies have already begun working together to help integrate procurement processes.
This partnership comes at a time when businesses of all sizes are looking to increase automation within their procurement workflows, driven in large part by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Automation allows for businesses to save time and money, while mitigating the risks associated with manual processes.
Despite this, many businesses still struggle with integrating their various software solutions into their procurement workflows. According to Gartner, 50% of IT-centric projects will fail due to their inability to integrate.
The partnership between JAGGAER and Workato seeks to solve this problem, giving businesses a simple series of connectors through which they can integrate everything from finance software to customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Ultimately, the partnership between JAGGAER and Workato is driving the charge towards automation, particularly with regards to procurement. As businesses look at new ways to transform their companies, autonomous commerce may well become one of the most sought-after goals of the whole business sector.
