Shimla: The three-day long tourism trade fair in Mumbai has rung in a new hope for tourism industry of Himachal Pradesh ahead of summer season, with travel agents and operators showing keen interest in the Himachal pavilion.
This surge in interest has reignited hopes among tourism stakeholders after the state faced challenges in July and August 2023.
President of the Himachal Pradesh tourism and Hoteliers Stakeholders Association, M K Seth, expressed optimism, citing the successful engagement with travel agents at the fair.
He highlighted the pivotal role played by the recent rationalization of taxes on tourist buses coming from other states by the HP government, which has encouraged travel agents to consider bringing groups to Himachal.
