More than a third (37%) of Easter departures booked with Advantage members have been booked on an all-inclusive basis, the consortium said on Tuesday (19 March), as travellers seek to keep budgeting expenditure up front.
Last-minute getaways are also proving popular, with one in five bookings with Advantage members having been made since early February. Booking levels for Easter, meanwhile, are up 8% year-on-year and Easter revenue running 25% ahead of last year.
“Holidays abroad clearly remain a key priority for Brits this year,” said chief executive Julia Lo Bue-Said. “A recent Barclays Consumer Spend report said that foreign travel is topping the consumer’s spending list, and we’re seeing this reflected in Easter bookings.”
