As the clock ticks on toward net zero emissions by 2050, many airlines are ramping up their efforts to secure more sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to meet their interim goals. Air Canada set itself an even more immediate goal of procuring SAF for 1% of its estimated fuel use in 2025, which is no mean feat given the scarcity of SAF globally.
