Air Canada is set to double the frequency of its "landline" service connecting the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) with Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). This expansion, effective May 1, 2024, will see the service increase from four to eight daily roundtrips. The "landline" service is operated by The Landline Company.
This increase in frequency aims to provide greater convenience for customers, enabling more seamless connections to Air Canada’s global network from the Kitchener-Waterloo area. The service, which was initially launched in 2023, offers a streamlined travel experience.
Passengers using the service can check in their luggage at YKF and have it transferred directly to their final destination. They also have the opportunity to earn Aeroplan points. For those travelling in Air Canada Signature Class or Premium Rouge, benefits include priority boarding and front-of-coach seating on the motorcoach.
The premium motorcoaches utilized for the service are designed for emission reduction and are fully accessible. The travel time between YKF and YYZ is approximately one hour. The service operates from a dedicated gate area at YKF, providing direct access to Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson. This initiative is part of Air Canada’s multi-modal travel strategy, developed in collaboration with The Landline Company.
