Air Canada Responds To Lynx Shutdown By Adding Extra Flights On Select Routes

Canada’s largest carrier, Air Canada, announced on Friday that it would add more frequencies in several markets to accommodate passengers affected by Lynx Air ceasing operations. The troubled low-cost airline formally announced its “departure from the skies” on Thursday – with its operation set to halt on Monday.

Air Canada indicated that a few thousand seats would be added on select routes that Lynx operates. To keep options affordable for impacted travelers, the carrier said fares will be capped, and availability will be in the economy cabin.
