Air Canada’s direct flight between Beijing (PEK) and Vancouver (YVR) officially took off this week, marking a major milestone.
The airline first announced that it would be resuming daily service from Canada to Beijing – in addition to increasing its Shanghai flights to daily – last October.
The news came on the heels of Canada restoring travel ties with China, lifting all COVID-era flight restrictions that same month. The move has paved the way for increased connectivity and opportunities for Chinese carriers to return to Canada.
