Canada and Ghana have reached a first-time air transport agreement that could see 14 weekly passenger flights between the two countries.
Air Canada last December showed off a chart of potential, new destinations during an Investor Day zoom presentation. They didn’t mention any new routes in their live chat, but a map they showed indicated such potential new spots as Nigeria, Ghana, Istanbul, Riyadh, Cartagena, The Azores, and Bengaluru in southern India.
Canadian Transport Minister Anita Anand this week said the new agreement between Canada and Ghana includes the right for Canada and Ghana to designate multiple airlines to operate scheduled air services between any points in the two countries.
