CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A local woman’s online relationship allegedly caused chaos at CVG because she thought an Air Canada flight had been hijacked.
On Jan. 19, the passengers on Air Canada flight 8705 from Toronto were confused as law enforcement surrounded and then followed their plane after landing.
Hamilton County coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco was on the flight.
She said her heart was racing as people tried to figure out what was happening.
“We had to evacuate the plane and everything because of a possible threat,” a responding officer is heard saying on video.
Sammarco was about to land at CVG when she noticed something unusual.
