India’s national carrier, Air India, and Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) have joined forces in a codeshare agreement, offering passengers greater travel flexibility between India and Japan. Effective May 23, 2024, travellers can book flights on both airlines using a single ticket.

Gold and Platinum members of Air India can avail themselves of all the premium services on both airlines as the Indian carrier will market ANA’s flights as its own and vice versa.

ANA’s Haneda Airport (Tokyo)-Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi) and Narita International Airport (Tokyo)-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai) route, and Air India’s Narita International Airport (Tokyo)-Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi) route are the target of the codeshare agreement.
Passengers can book flights on all these routes through both airlines, giving customers a more flexible schedule and freedom to choose destinations and airports in India and Japan.
