An Air India flight traveling from Delhi to San Francisco was diverted to Mongolia due to a technical issue, stranding its passengers. The airline has dispatched an alternate aircraft to fly the passengers and crew to their destination.
The original aircraft, a Boeing 777, experienced a technical problem that required an unscheduled landing. In response, Air India sent a “ferry” flight to Mongolia to resume the journey to San Francisco.
An Air India spokesperson confirmed the situation, stating that their staff on the ground in Mongolia are coordinating with local authorities to ensure passengers are being taken care of.
The airline has extended an apology to the affected passengers for the disruption and inconvenience caused by the diversion.
