Air India is embarking on an ambitious $400 million (approximately €370 million) program to significantly upgrade its entire fleet of 27 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. The airline has already placed a landmark order for 470 new aircraft, including 20 Airbus A350-900s, 20 Airbus A350-1000s, 10 Boeing 777-300ERs, and 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, alongside 140 Airbus A320neos and 70 Airbus A321neos.
