Air India revealed on Saturday its selection of SIA Engineering Company Limited as a strategic partner for enhancing its base maintenance facilities.
Under this collaboration, Air India
These facilities, anticipated to be operational by 2026, will encompass both wide-body and narrow-body hangars, along with associated repair shops, to accommodate the escalating Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) requirements of the Air India Group’s aircraft fleet.
In a statement, Air India emphasised, “The collaboration with SIA Engineering Company will not only help Air India become more self-reliant for the maintenance of its own fleet but it also reiterates our commitment to strengthen India’s aviation
Previously, Air India had announced plans for state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities at Kempegowda International Airport
