Apple has concluded its first event of the year, ‘Let Loose,’ which focused on iPads and accessories. The event began with Tim Cook opening it with stats on Apple Vision Pro and how companies use it.
The Cupertino-based tech giant refreshed its iPad Air and iPad Pro models after a two-year gap. The brand has also upgraded its iPad accessories, such as the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. Here’s everything Apple announced at its event.
Everything Announced at Apple Let Loose Event
Apple last refreshed its iPads in 2022, launching the iPad Air 5 in March 2022 and the iPad Pro in October 2022. Apple has now introduced the iPad Pro 7th generation and iPad Air 6.
iPad Pro 7th Generation
The latest iPad Pro 7th generation comes in two display sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch. It’s the thinnest iPad Pro yet, with a 5.3mm thin chassis and the first to come with an OLED panel. Apple is calling the display Ultra Retina XDR, and it comes with dual OLED panels for fullscreen brightness of 1,699 nits for SDR and HDR content.
The iPad Pro has a 12MP primary camera on the back, with a LiDAR Scanner and Adaptive True-Tone Flash. It also features a 12MP ultra-wide camera in landscape mode on the front.
Apple M4 Processor
The latest Apple Silicon—Apple M4—powers the new iPad Pro, which is 50% more powerful than M2. This is the first time Apple has introduced a new Apple Silicon on an iPad instead of a MacBook. The 3nm processor brings features like a new display engine, ray tracing, a 16-core Neural Engine for AI features, and more.
Apple has also announced a new Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro 2 for iPads, and with the newest M4 processor, the new iPad Pro offers 20x faster final rendering than M1. Apple has also introduced the M4-backed Final Cut Camera, which allows users to connect multiple iPhones and iPads to record various angles.
Additionally, Apple has added Session Players to Drum features in Logic Pro 2, including a bass and keyboard player. There is also a stem splitter function to create studio-like remixes on iPad.
iPad Pro 7th Generation Price in India, Availability
The iPad Pro 7th generation is available in Silver and Space Black finish. The latest iPad will go on sale in India starting May 15 and will be available for pre-ordering starting today. It can be picked up from Apple Stores and the official Apple online store.

iPad Air 6
This is Apple’s first launch of the iPad Air with two display options: an 11-inch or a 13-inch Liquid Retina display. The M2 chipset powers the new iPad Air model 50% faster than the previous iPad Air 5 with M1. Thanks to the new processor, the new iPad Air also supports AI features.
In the camera department, the iPad Air 2024 features a 12MP primary camera on the back and an 8MP camera on the front. The new iPad Air has CenterStage support on the FaceTime camera, landscape stereo speakers, and other improved features.
iPad Air 6 Price in India, Availability
The base variant of the iPad Air 6 comes in 128GB, 256GB, and 1TB variants. The new iPad Air will be available for pre-booking starting today and will go on sale starting May 15. Interested buyers can purchase it from Apple Stores and the official Apple online store.

Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil 3rd Generation
Apple also launched a new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro with a metal build for durability, a function row, and a larger trackpad with haptic for better navigation. The new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro is designed to make the iPad resemble a MacBook and offers the same comfort.
Apart from the Magic Keyboard, the brand also launched the latest Apple Pencil Pro at the event. Some notable features of the latest Apple Pencil Pro include haptic feedback, squeeze gestures, a gyroscope, magnetic charging, Pencil Hover, and more. Apple has announced that the new Apple Pencil Pro will also support the latest iPad Air.
