Crew members aboard the Kozhikode-Bahrain Air India Express flight finally managed to subdue the rowdy passenger and brought him back to his seat, but his unruly behaviour continued as he hurled expletives, and started assaulting other passengers.
Air India Express Emergency Landing: A Bahrain-bound Air India Express flight from Kozhikode in Kerala, was forced to make an emergency landing at the Mumbai Airport after a rowdy passenger aboard the plane allegedly assaulted the cabin crew and tried to open the door of the aircraft in mid-flight.

The accused passenger, identified as 25-year-old Abdul Musavir Nadukandee, was later arrested by the Mumbai Police after the flight made an an emergency landing at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), officials said, adding that the incident took place on Saturday.
A police official said Nadukandee, a resident of Kerala, woke up when the flight took off from Kozhikode and immediately went to the back of the aircraft, where he allegedly assaulted the cabin crew and tried to open the door of the aircraft,

The crew members finally managed to subdue Naukhandee and brought him back to his seat, but his unruly behaviour continued as he hurled expletives, started assaulting other passengers and threatened to open the emergency door, the official said.
Upon realising that this could be a potential security threat, the pilot of the Air India Express flight made an emergency landing at the Mumbai Airport where the accused passenger was deplaned and taken into custody by security officials who had already been alerted by the crew, the airline said in a statement on Monday.
Police said a case has been registered against the accused under sections 336 (act endangering life), 504 (provocation to breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other relevant provisions of the Aircraft Act.
