“Passengers carried by domestic airlines during January December 2024 were 1,613.31 lakh as against 1,520.32 lakh during the corresponding period of the previous year, thereby registering an annual growth of 6.12 percent and monthly growth of 8.19 percent,” DGCA said in its report on Wednesday.
In December, the market share of IndiGo stood at 64.4 percent while that of Air India touched 26.4 percent. Akasa Air and SpiceJet had a share of 4.6 percent and 3.3 percent, respectively.
