This unsettling discovery comes amidst a series of recent false alarms in the region. Just days prior, on Sunday, authorities received an email threat targeting both the Indira Gandhi International Airport and several hospitals in Delhi. Following an extensive investigation, police determined the threat to be baseless, dismissing it as a mere rumor.
Similarly, on May 1, over 150 schools across Delhi-NCR received fake threatening emails, which also turned out to be false alarm.
