AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd. has formally signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) to explore significant aviation development opportunities within the Kingdom of Bahrain. The agreement, signed on May 7, 2024, aims to enhance Bahrain’s air connectivity and reinforce its strategic position as a regional and international aviation hub.
The LOI outlines a framework for potential collaboration focused on a feasibility study for establishing a new low-cost airline to be based in Bahrain.
