AirAsia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Lucknow Due to Hydraulic Failure
An AirAsia flight en route to Bangkok experienced a significant disruption shortly after takeoff, necessitating an emergency landing at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. The incident occurred on Tuesday, leading to travel delays for passengers.
The flight, identified as FD438, departed from India and was bound for the Thai capital. Approximately 30 minutes into its journey, the aircraft experienced a hydraulic failure. This critical mechanical issue prompted the flight crew to make the decision to divert to Lucknow for a safe landing.
Airport authorities and emergency services were alerted and were in place to assist the aircraft upon its arrival. The landing was reportedly executed without any casualties or injuries among the passengers and crew.
Following the emergency landing, passengers were disembarked at Lucknow. AirAsia has stated that they are working to arrange for the affected passengers to reach their final destination, Bangkok.
