Thai AirAsia Expands Domestic Network
Thai AirAsia is significantly expanding its domestic flight offerings, introducing new routes and increasing frequencies to cater to growing travel demand within Thailand. This strategic expansion aims to bolster the airline’s domestic presence and provide more travel options for passengers.
The airline is launching new services connecting Bangkok to key destinations. Specifically, Thai AirAsia will commence direct flights from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) to Nakhon Si Thammarat and to Buri Ram. These new routes are scheduled to begin operations on October 1, 2025.
In addition to these new routes, Thai AirAsia is also increasing the frequency of its existing services. The airline will add more flights on the popular Bangkok (DMK) to Chiang Mai route, enhancing connectivity to the northern capital. Furthermore, frequencies will be increased on the Bangkok (DMK) to Krabi and the Bangkok (DMK) to Surat Thani routes, providing greater flexibility for travelers heading to southern Thailand.
These service enhancements are a direct response to what the airline describes as a robust recovery in domestic air travel. Thai AirAsia is positioning itself to capture this resurgence by offering a more comprehensive network and more convenient flight schedules. The expansion is expected to contribute to the revitalized tourism sector in Thailand.
