Japan Airlines Announces New Flight Routes and Increased Capacity for Summer 2025
Japan Airlines (JAL) has unveiled plans for its summer 2025 schedule, introducing new routes and expanding capacity on existing ones to meet anticipated travel demand. The airline’s strategy focuses on increasing international connectivity and optimizing domestic operations.
New International Services
For the upcoming summer season, JAL will launch new flight services connecting Tokyo Haneda to Vietnam’s Da Nang. This new route will operate three times a week. Additionally, the airline is increasing the frequency of its flights between Tokyo Narita and Bali, from the current five times a week to a daily service.
Domestic Network Enhancements
On its domestic network, JAL will reintroduce services between Tokyo Haneda and Yonago. The airline is also boosting capacity on several key domestic routes by deploying larger aircraft. This includes expanding services on the Tokyo Haneda – Ishigaki route, increasing flights from 10 times a week to twice daily. Flights between Tokyo Haneda and Miyako will also see an increase in frequency, operating three times a day.
Fleet and Capacity Adjustments
The airline’s strategic fleet adjustments will see the introduction of the new aircraft type, Boeing 787-9, on certain international routes. JAL will also increase flight frequencies on popular domestic routes, such as Tokyo Haneda to Sapporo (New Chitose) and Fukuoka, to accommodate growing passenger numbers.
