American Airlines Debuts Special Brazil Flight to See the Eagles

American Airlines has created a one-time-only flight to Brazil to see the Philadelphia Eagles play.

Airlines will often add extra flights for special events like the Super Bowl, but that airline is usually already flying there, writes Zach Griff for The Points Guy.

What American Airlines is doing is truly unique.

The airline is debuting a special, one-time-only flight for Eagles fans to Brazil so they can attend the NFL’s first-ever game Sept. 6 in South America. Playing in the game will be the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers.

The 4,734-mile route, operating from Philadelphia to Sao Paulo, is the first time American Airlines has offered nonstop service from the Philly hub to South America.

The flight will depart from Philadelphia on Sept. 5, 9 PM, arriving in Brazil at 7:30 AM the next day. 

American will also fly one northbound flight back to Philadelphia on Sept. 7.  The return flight will depart at 10 AM. and land at 6:50 PM.

The departing flight, American Flight 215, is a nod to Philadelphia’s area code. The returning flight, American Flight 62, is in honor of retiring center Jason Kelce.

American has been a partner with the Eagles for nearly a decade. 

Tickets will be available for sale starting on April 29.
