An American Airlines flight landed safely in Los Angeles Wednesday night after the Boeing plane blew a tire during takeoff from Dallas, federal authorities said.
American Airlines flight 345, a Boeing 777 plane, took off from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and landed at Los Angeles International Airport without incident around 8:45 p.m. local time Wednesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration and an American Airlines statement given to multiple news outlets.
“The aircraft taxied to the gate under its own power and customers deplaned normally,” the airline told Fox Business.
There were no immediate reports of injury to anyone on board.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
American Airlines did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment.
The blown tire is the latest incident to plague the aviation industry in recent weeks.

Last week, a United Airlines flight from Houston that was headed to Florida made an emergency landing after one of its engines caught fire midair.
“United flight 1118 returned to Houston shortly after takeoff due to an engine issue. The flight landed safely, and the passengers deplaned normally,” United released in a statement to USA TODAY.
In another incident, a United flight that took off from San Fransisco and was heading to Japan made an emergency landing in LAX after one of the six landing gear tires on the Boeing 777-200 plane fell off.
