LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – An American Airlines plane was diverted to Lake Charles.
The plane was headed from Dallas to Houston when it was diverted to Lake Charles Regional this afternoon, according to Lake Charles Regional Airport Director Heath Allen.
An American Airlines spokesperson told Fox26 in Houston the flight landed in Lake Charles due to a possible mechanical issue and the weather in the Houston area at the time.
This evening, another Boeing American Airlines 737-800 arrived and flew the passengers to Houston.
Mechanics are checking over the first plane, Allen said.
