American Airlines layoffs at Phoenix Sky Harbor

American Airlines is laying off more than 600 workers, and about half of those are at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The airline says its eliminating more than 300 customer service positions in Phoenix by the end of March. The layoffs are due to the creation of a new “Customer Success Team.”
