It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a British Airways Boeing 777-200ER at Chicago O’Hare International Terminal 5, as the aircraft begins to load its passengers for the trip back to London Heathrow.
British Airways operates a fleet of 43 Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in its widebody fleet. The airline also operates the Airbus A350-1000, Airbus A380, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 787-10 in its widebody fleet.
Together these aircraft link the two hubs of London Heathrow and Gatwick to the world.
This aircraft – G-VIIL – joined the British Airways fleet in March 1998, making it just over 26 years old. It has recently been flying from its Heathrow home to Boston, Chicago (as depicted), New York JFK, Abuja and Atlanta.
Whilst the aircraft might be 26 years old, it has been refitted with a four-class cabin, with First, Club Suites, World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy class).
