Argos cabin case that could save flyers £65 with British Airways slashed to £35

Holidaymakers looking to get the most space out of their luggage may want to consider a lightweight cabin case that has been reduced.

Jetting off on a getaway is always something to look forward to, but its preparation can be stressful. One aspect that can cause a headache is the packing process, with airline baggage rules often limiting travellers on what they can bring.

Luckily, one carry-on that has “loads of space” is also on sale for £15 less. The IT Luggage World’s Lightest 2 Wheel Soft Cabin Suitcase is now down to £35 from its £50 price take. Weighing just 1.56kg, it offers a roomy 39-litre capacity for plenty of packing space.

Available at Argos and measuring 55 x 40 x 20cm, its compact external dimensions make it the right size to fit in the larger cabin bags allowance provided by the likes of British Airways, Jet2, Thomas Cook, TUI and Virgin Atlantic and others, the Mirror reports.

Its carefully crafted proportions have been designed to give passengers who don’t like to travel light the largest amount of packing space, without having to worry about paying extra in excess baggage fees.

For example, an oversized suitcase with British Airways, for example, will set you back at least £65 at check-in, while TUI, Jet2 and other airlines will also charge you at the gate.

The IT Luggage World’s Lightest 2 Wheel Soft Cabin Suitcase features a tough fibreglass structure and high tensile fabric to ensure the case remains super lightweight, while still feeling strong enough to go the distance.

With three separate external pockets to keep your most important items close at hand, this chic black cabin case makes it easy to organise your gear on the go. On the inside, the deep main compartment has plenty of room for a few days away, and the mesh pockets add extra useful storage for smaller items.

With a telescoping trolley handle and two smooth in-line wheels, it’s ideal for crossing the concourse and a 10-year manufacturing warranty suits frequent flyers. Shoppers who have already purchased the £35 navy blue cabin bag are also pretty impressed on the Argos online shopping reviews.

Homewares deal of the week

Luxury suitcase brand Antler has just kicked off its massive spring sale and it’s right on time for anyone planning an upcoming trip away.

Available to shop online now, the brand’s massive sale has slashed up to 40 percent off a wide variety of its most popular cabin cases and bags. One overnight airline bag with “plenty of room” inside is now £56 cheaper – and it fits many of your favourite budget airlines.

The Chelsea Overnight Bag is available in five different colours, and two – blush pink and mineral blue/green – are now heavily discounted from £140 to £84. This smart and sleek-looking holdall is designed to be the perfect piece of hand luggage and Antler says it “will sit neatly under the seat in front of you on a plane”.

Inside, there’s plenty of space, with various pockets to keep your belongings organised and safe, including a slip pocket for your laptop. The Chelsea Bag is made from a water-resistant, durable nylon and is finished with premium leather details, making it the ultimate travel accessory.

A handy back sleeve allows it to slide over a suitcase handle for easy carrying – and it can also be used as a gym bag. It comes with a detachable shoulder strap, so shoppers can use it before, during and after their holidays.

The Chelsea Bag is just the right size for many airlines’ rules for a ‘personal item’ bag. It measures 41.5 x 26 x 18cm and fits with easyJet, TUI, and Jet2’s strict guidelines for a “personal item”.

Boasting over 600 five-star reviews, Antler’s Chelsea Overnight Bag has been receiving strong praise from travellers for it is a “fantastic bag for a long haul travel.”

You can buy the Chelsea Overnight Bag in different colours and save £56 on the Antler website.

One described it as “A first-rate travel case” saying “Well thought out, light weight, useful external pockets. Handles are non intrusive, being at the edge of the load space.” As of now, it has not been hit with any one or two star ratings.

A second traveller who has already road-tested the case left a five-star review saying “Just returned from holiday. This case was ideal. Perfect size for most airlines as hand luggage. Easy to pull along on wheels. Liked the side pocket for empty water bottle, to fill other side of security. Liked the front pocket to store winter jumper for return.”

A third simply stated “This is by far the lightest cabin bag I’ve ever had and has a lot of space and the net pockets inside are very functional.”

However, one three star reviewer felt its design was not what they were looking for, saying: This is a very roomy cabin case with zips on the front for additional storage. However, we returned our first one because the handle does not stay up in the higher position (as did my other cabin cases).

“We changed it only to find the replacement did the same so I presume this is the design which is a nuisance. However, we are keeping it as we like the storage, but for practical purposes, not as good as my last one.”

Argos also stocks a selection of other IT suitcases and bags, including the same size IT Luggage World’s Lightest Max Size Cabin Suitcase in black for £50.

Alternatively, iconic British luggage brand Antler is currently offering its Prestwick Cabin Case with 50 per cent off at just £85.
