British Airways has today announced the return of flights between London Heathrow and Jeddah.
The carrier confirmed the announcement made at the GREAT FUTURES expo in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
The London-Jeddah Flights with British Airways…
British Airways will restart flights between London Heathrow and Jeddah on November 4.
It is understood these flights will operate on a year-round basis, and will complement existing service to Riyadh.
Frequencies for the route will be four times per week, operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Furthermore, the times for these flights are as follows:
- DEP LHR 2010 ARR JED 0530+1
- DEP JED 0755 ARR LHR 1145
Commenting on the launch of these flights was Colm Lacy, British Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer:
“We have a long history of connecting families, friends and businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with our home in London.”
“There are significant opportunities for businesses in both countries, so we’re pleased we can re-build our connectivity and strengthen links between the two kingdoms.”
By launch day, it means that British Airways will service Saudi Arabia up to 11 times per week.
Growing in the Middle East…
2024 for British Airways has placed an emphasis on growing into the Middle East.
As well as the announcement of the London-Jeddah flights, the carrier has recently launched flights to Abu Dhabi.
This service operates on a daily basis using their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
For those planning their trip, flight BA073 departs London Heathrow at 10:25 pm. It arrives in Abu Dhabi the following day at 8:30 am (+1 day).
The return flight, BA072, departs Abu Dhabi at 10:10 am and arrives back in London Heathrow at 3:20 pm.
It remains clear that demand for the Middle East is growing at the airline.

In conclusion, British Airways is set to continue it’s ever-growing presence in the Middle East with the London-Jeddah flights.
Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how the flights perform at launch.
If there is scope to expand frequencies, then the airline will no doubt take opportunity of that.
Servicing two of Saudi Arabia’s most popular airports, it will be interesting to see how this formulates in the future.
