Travelers in the United Kingdom can win one million air miles by linking their Uber and British Airways accounts and taking a trip by the end of this week. The promotion is in its final week, with passengers booking train tickets through the Uber app receiving a second entry to become an Avios millionaire.
How do I win?
The first step is to link your British Airways Executive Club with your Uber account. Upon opening the Uber app, click on ‘Account,’ then ‘Settings,’ and scroll to the bottom of the page. Select ‘British Airways Executive Club’ in the Rewards section, then tap ‘Link Account’ on the next screen.
Booking a ride with Uber between now and 23:59 on April 7th automatically enters you into the competition unless you opt out. To be eligible for the competition, the Uber ride must be travel taken within the mainland UK and Northern Ireland, and the account holder must be a UK resident over the age of 18.
British Airways Executive Club: Big Changes You Need To Know About
The frequent flyer program is migrating all its members to a single Tier Point collection period from 2025.
Notably, passengers looking for a more sustainable method of travel are doubly rewarded. Travelers who use the Uber app to book a train receive a second entry in the Avios Millionaire competition. All domestic train rides are eligible, as are trips on the Eurostar, which include a UK origin or destination.

In addition to cars and trains, eligible methods of transport include London’s Uber Boat (the Thames Clipper high-speed river bus service), Lime e-bikes and scooters, Local Cabs, and National Express or Megabus coach journeys booked through the Uber App.
Acquire Avios anytime
Even if passengers are not selected to win the ultimate prize, they will continue to receive Avios points on the Uber trip itself. British Airways Executive Club members automatically collect 1 Avios per £1 spent on the price of each qualifying ride (excluding tips and any miscellaneous fees such as cleaning charges). The partnership was launched in 2022 to allow travelers to maximize earnings on travel spending and capitalize on Uber’s broad user base of frequent travelers.
Airline Rideshare Partnerships – Why British Airways & Alaska Airlines Are Hooking Up With Uber And Lyft
The trend for airlines to link up with rideshare services like Uber and Lyft is nothing new, but these partnerships are evolving.
The ride-sharing app has partnerships with several major airline loyalty programs worldwide. Passengers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can link their Miles & More accounts to earn points. Canadians are able to link Uber to the flag carrier’s Aeroplan loyalty program, while passengers in Australia can earn Qantas points on trips to the airport.
In the United Kingdom, passengers can also book airline tickets through the Uber app, thanks to a partnership with Hopper. Sadly, the current promotion does not include entries for flights booked on the app, only the journey to the airport. What are other ways to earn airline miles while still on the ground?
