In an unfortunate series of events, a British Airways flight was forced to make an emergency landing. The flight was heading from Heathrow Airport in London to the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. However, the flight could not make it to its scheduled destination as it had to turn around half an hour after it took off. Here are all of the important information that you would need to know about this emergency landing.
British Airways Flight Forced To Make Emergency Landing
According to an article which was recently published by NDTV, the British Airways flight took off from Heathrow at 7:25 AM on January 21, Sunday. As per its schedule, it was supposed to land in Prague around 10 AM.
However, it had to turn around while it was still over the Strait of Dover. At around 8:41 AM, the plane landed back in Heathrow. As per reports, the actual cause for making a U-turn is not specified but it is believed that fumes were observed in the cockpit.
The airline statement, too, only mentioned that the flight made the emergency landing because of a technical problem but did not specify what the technical problem was. It was also observed that as soon as the plane landed, several fire engines rushed toward the plane.

About Storm Isha Which Has Significantly Disrupted Travel In UK
This unfortunate incident took place at the heels of British Airways cancelling around three dozen flights owing to the severe Storm Isha. The storm has ended up causing significant disruption in travel in the UK.
Dublin Airport had to cancel more than 100 flights, both inward and outward-bound owing to inclement weather. In Scotland, train services were severely hampered due to the storm. Storm Isha is the ninth named storm in the UK since September.
