Delta passengers will be introduced to a new entertainment experience during their next few flights with the carrier, with the Atlanta-based carrier announcing that Delta Sync seatback will be rolled out to its Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
This means that passengers will be able to personalize their seatback screens and log in using the Fly Delta app. The system will then recognize them and provide a new level of convenience and loyalty to its SkyMiles members.

First launched at CES 2023, the initiative was tested onboard select aircraft throughout the carrier’s network, and the feedback was mostly positive. The change in delivery meant that the seatback screen felt more like a smart TV while also including various travel tools to make travelers’ journeys even more enjoyable.

Delta’s onboard connectivity is continuing with a further commitment to its loyal SkyMiles members. This includes free WiFi from T-Mobile Delta Synch seatback, expanding from the Airbus A321ceo and Boeing 757-200 to now have the A319, A320, and 737-800 by the end of summer. Senior Vice President-Customer Experience Design at Delta, Ranjan Goswami, noted in a Delta statement:
“Customers are loving our new personalized Delta Sync seatback screens – and they especially appreciate how easy it is to log in to the screen using the Fly Delta app.Just by being a SkyMiles member, customers can log in to a seatback screen that recognizes them, knows their preferences and helps effortlessly guide them throughout their travel day. This level of personalization and convenience is one way we’re redefining loyalty and what it means to be a SkyMiles member – and it unlocks the minute you join.”
The upgrade includes a new My Flight category, tailored to each passenger, showing further details about connecting flights, gate and terminal locations, and the expected arrival and departure times. Members who are logged in will also receive up-to-date notifications delivered directly to their seats while in flight, as well as any adjustments made to upcoming services.

Delta Air Lines’ onboard offering has changed significantly, adapting to trends in passenger demand and the latest technological developments to ensure maximum comfort while maintaining cost efficiency. It remains to be seen how the carrier’s cabins and service levels will change over the years.
Since Delta Sync WiFi was launched, more than two million new SkyMiles members have signed up to the carrier’s loyalty program, and they can now even access an online store, including Delta apparel, for purchase.
