UNDATED (WKRC) – Delta is offering a “Path-of-Totality” flight ahead of the total solar eclipse.
A Delta flight will offer the opportunity to experience the eclipse from the skies in spring. Delta Flight 1218 will fly out of Austin, Texas on April 8 and land in Detroit.
The flight will be specifically operated on an A220-300, an aircraft with extra-large windows to maximize passenger experience during the eclipse. Flight 1218 will be timed for the best chance of viewing the solar eclipse at its peak, with safety in mind.
The aircraft will spend as much time as possible directly within the path-of-totality.
Delta confirmed it has five additional routes on the same day that will offer a good chance to see the eclipse in the air.
