Delta, United States airline, has recently announced the deliver of an additional special flight to improve passengers experience in mesmerizing solar eclipse after the first special flight sold out in 24 hours.
According to NASA, a total solar eclipse 2024 will take place on April 8th, crossing North America, passing through Mexico, the USA, and Canada, and starting over the South Pacific Ocean.
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, blocking the Sun’s light. There are three different types of eclipse: total, partial, and annual. On April 8th, we will witness a total solar eclipse.
NASA explains the definition of a total solar eclipse on its official website:
“A total solar eclipse is visible from a small area on Earth. The people who see the total eclipse are in the centre of the Moon’s shadow when it hits Earth. The sky becomes very dark. The Sun, Moon, and Earth must be directly lined up for a total eclipse.”
The American airline company Delta continues to grow in financial profit performance. Always aiming to satisfy its passengers – Delta has recently announced a special flight to give passengers the opportunity to view the total solar eclipse on their flight. Due to high demand, the special flight was sold out within 24 hours.
The sold special Flight 1218, operated on the A220-300 aircraft, is aiming to offer a unique experience to passengers with premium viewings to observe the eclipse with “extra-large windows,” according to Delta. Delta flight from Austin will be scheduled at 12:15 with expected arrival in Detroit at 4:20 P.M
Because of popular demand, Delta decided to launch another special opportunity for passengers on flight 1010 operated on aircraft A321neo departing from Dallas (DFW) at 12:30 P.M and arriving in Detroit at 4:20 P.M. The aircraft A321neo operating this flight will consist of 20 domestic First Class seats, 42 Delta Comfort+ seats, and 132 Main Cabin seats.

The total solar eclipse is an incredible phenomenon that deserves to be seen; anyone taking one of these flights from Delta will have this great experience. According to Delta Air Lines Lead Meteorologist Warren Weston, the total eclipse taking place on April 8 will be the last total eclipse over North America until 2044.
“This eclipse will last more than twice as long as the one that occurred in 2017, and the path is nearly twice as expansive.” stated Warren Weston
